Fixed Term Contract 13 hours per week (Point 11 - 14) + 3 hours per week Lunchtime cover (Point 7-10) (Monday-Thursday)

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support to an autistic child in Year 1. The applicant will need to have experience in supporting children with autism, be understanding, flexible, patient and engaging.
Ideally, you should hold an NVQ2 qualification and have experience in supporting SEN children. You should also be able to demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills, good behaviour management skills and a passion for supporting learning.
Candidates are encouraged to visit the school in order to meet us and to gain a clear understanding of this role.

Information about the School
Baynards is a smaller than average sized primary school with a big heart! It is located on the edge of Tiptree village within easy reach of Colchester. We currently have a roll of just over 100 pupils who learn in 4 spacious, bright and well-resourced classrooms. The children are delightful and are very enthusiastic about their learning. Baynards Primary School is an active member of a consortium of over 20 primary schools in the local area and has regular contact with peers and colleagues in the group. We have a recently expanded Governing Body who are dedicated and strive for excellence for all pupils.
Teachers set high expectations for all pupils and those with special educational needs are supported at all times, both academically and socially. The Teachers are supported by the pupils who are proud of who they are and are keen to progress.
