Head of School

Full time

Permanent

Leadership 9-13

Would you like to lead an amazing team of staff to develop our inspiring children?

Our children are looking for a new head of school to lead our lovely one form entry Church of England Primary School.

The school is a Challenge Partner school and has staff trained as OLEVI coaches. We are part of the Tendring Teaching School's Alliance, which enables us to work with a range of local schools and share resources, training and good practice.

Our present head of school has been promoted and is going on to lead her own school. We have loved working with her and send her away with our love and best wishes. While we say goodbye, we are excited to meet our new head of school.

A head of school is responsible for the day to day management of the school and leads teaching and learning. The successful candidate will support the Executive Headteacher in achieving the outcomes to which we aspire. The role presents an exceptional opportunity for professional and career development and will undoubtedly offer a fast track route to Headship for the right applicant.

You will be a deputy or experienced senior leader with a proven track record of leading a team and making rapid and sustained school improvement.

NPQH is not necessary, but governors are looking for someone who has continued to develop themselves through training or post graduate studies. You will need to show leadership experience, the ability to manage change and the capacity to communicate a vision which inspires, grows and challenges the whole school community.

You will be a practicing Christian with a knowledge of leading RE and Christian Worship.

Working as part of a hub, you will work closely with the head of school and senior leaders at our sister school Rolph in Thorpe le Soken. Working within the Vine academy trust you will have access to bespoke training and leadership opportunities which will support you in your role and into your future.

St Andrews Church of England Primary School is a lovely place to work. Our staff work incredibly hard and care for each other. Our children are inspiring and a joy to teach. We could write all about our amazing school, but invite you to come and meet us to find out for yourselves.

Contact the school to meet with the Executive head teacher who will show you around and answer any questions.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
