Located in Harlow & Stansted from August 2018

Full and Part Time hours available

The NEW £11million Stansted Airport College will be opening in September 2018.

The College is a partnership between London Stansted Airport and Harlow College - the first of its kind at any airport in the country. The centre will have purpose built, industry standard facilities providing training for 500 young people per year.

Do you want to become part of this truly exciting project and help to train the next generation of Engineers?

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and talented Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join the team at Stansted Airport College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will play a key role in preparing, planning, co-ordinating, assessing and delivering both theory and practical sessions to our Aeronautical Engineering Trainees.

Initially, you'll be working with Head and Deputy Head of Stansted Airport College on shaping the engineering curriculum for the new college and also assisting HAMEC team to learn and develop teaching practise.

An Aircraft maintenance licence or a degree in Aeronautical Engineering qualification or equivalent is essential, however you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.

Our full time teaching staff normally teach up to 24 hours per week during term time.

The successful candidate can expect investment in their personal and professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an excellent Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme).

Still unsure if this is the right role for you? Contact Will Allanson on 01279 868 399 for an informal discussion.

If you are looking to work within a challenging and fast paced organisation whereby we believe all our people, both staff and students, have the potential to succeed in whatever they set their minds to then this is the role for you. This college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
