Would you like to be part of a community and build your career within a school that is passionate about every individual child as well as their families? Are you willing to be mentally, emotionally and physically challenged knowing that your input is making a lasting impact in a child's life? Do you have a sense of humour to be positive even when you actually want to hide? Do you want to develop as a specialise in autism or behaviour? We are a committed team that thrives to deliver a curriculum to equip our students to "learn to live" and become as independent and resilient as possible within our society. We provide a supportive and safe environment to allow you to foster a "growth mindset", be continually challenged and encouraged to try new class strategies. Ideally we are looking for someone who has a passion and / or experience of working with pupils with either ASD or behavioural needs.
Successful candidates will have:
A few tricks up their sleeves - you never know when you might have to come up with a new lesson because that plan you spent hours working on is just not going down well…
Spandex - being resilient and flexible is key when you have researched every classroom strategy and your class is still not engaged…
An array of footwear - running club, Gruffalo woods, the orchard, farm animals - one needs to be equipped for all our areas of learning!
Lightbulb moments - we are always looking for new ideas to improve our curriculum, clubs, social activities and fundraising initiatives.
