Want to become part of a team to train the next generation of Engineers?

The NEW £11million Harlow Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Centre (HAMEC) opened in January on Harlow College's campus. This is a major investment for Harlow and will increase the number of skilled engineers and apprentices required not only in the local area but in the region. HAMEC provides not only educational progression opportunity, but also an opportunity to work on 'live' commercial projects.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and talented Engineering staff to join the growing Engineering team at Harlow College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education.

If you have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Engineering or HNC/HND (or equivalent), strong communication skills and passion for mechatronics, this could be a perfect job for you. There is no teaching qualification required as College will support you in obtaining a teaching or assessing qualification.

Key skills and experience:

  • Mechatronics
  • Hydraulics
  • Electronics
  • Pneumatics
  • PLCs
  • 5S methodology
  • Kaizen
  • Lean manufacturing

The successful candidate can expect investment in their personal and professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an excellent Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme)
