Catering Manager - 25 hours per week (9am - 2pm)
Required January 2018 - 38 weeks term time plus one week non pupil days
Band 3 Point 17 (within the range 17-21) (actual salary £10,202)
At Great Dunmow Primary School, the Governors are looking to employ an experienced Catering Manager to manage our in-house school meals service. We are a two form entry school with an approximate daily uptake of 200+ meals per day. We want to continue to offer our pupils the best possible provision in all aspects.
We believe that school food is part of our whole school ethos and the post holder can expect to work as part of a committed school team.
Candidates will ideally have some experience of a similar environment, although for the right person we are committed to providing full training and support. Your attitude to work, passion for food with a keenness working with children is equally as important to us.
We are looking for someone who has:
¨ Commitment to providing great nutritious meals for our pupils
¨ A caring and sensitive approach
¨ Has experience of managing other members of staff
¨ Catering qualification, including allergen needs (desirable but not essential as training would be given)
You will be expected to:
¨ Manage a budget, planning and developing new menus that meet the required standards
¨ Provide delicious meals for our pupils, staff and visitors
¨ Lead by example and demonstrate energy, commitment and enthusiasm as well as enjoyment and fun
