An opportunity has arisen for an LSA to cover maternity leave on a fixed term contract supporting a child with Visual Impairtment at an innovative Clacton school.? If you have the skills and previous experience this may be for you.
You will need:
To take an active role in the preparation, maintenance and control of stocks of materials and resources.
Translate printed text into braille for the VI pupil.
Develop resources and materials that can be used by the Visually Impaired pupils to progress in their learning.
Teach Braille to the VI individual as advised by VI Specialist Teacher Team.
To be a team player as well as being able to use your own initiative
To be patient, tolerant and understanding
To have GCSE Maths and English and an appropriate NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Child Care and Education or equivalent and have a relevant qualification in Brailling.
