Clerk to the Governors
Required as soon as possible
North Essex Multi Academy Trust (NEMAT) have a vacancy for a Clerk to Governors, to be appointed as soon as possible.
The Clerk to Governors will join a growing team seeking to establish best working practices across the clerking services of the Trust. The role will include preparation and distribution of agendas/supporting documents/accurate minutes, attendance at governors' meetings (late afternoon/evenings plus any ad hoc meetings/panels) and maintenance of membership, attendance and training records. The Clerk to Governors will also be responsible for advising the governing body on procedural, constitutional and governance matters and will have excellent ICT, oral and written communication skills.
The Clerk to Governors will be based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form for administrative work and will attend meetings at any of the schools within the Trust, which are in the Braintree/Halstead area.
The post is for 5 - 15 hours per week term time, depending on the demand in the first instance, worked flexibly. The salary will be £17,772 pro rata (LGS Band 3, point 17).
