We are seeking a highly efficient, professional, organised individual with excellent customer service skills to work within our very busy administration team.

Hours: 37 hours a week

Term Time only + 5 additional inset days

Type of Contract: Permanent (Subject to 6 month probationary period)

As an Administration Assistant your responsibilities will include processing all admissions and attendance data, welfare, finance and reception duties. You will be the first point of contact for parents/guardians and visitors to our school and it is therefore essential that you:

· are personable, articulate and have excellent communication skills

· are a team player that can use their initiative and is willing to go the extra mile when required

· are able to meet deadlines and multi-task

· have a clear understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality

· maintain a "can do" positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability

· have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience in an educational setting is desirable. Competency in SIMS, Microsoft applications and excellent numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent are essential. First Aid training is an advantage, although training will be given if required. The ability to deal with people with sensitivity and good humour, at all levels, is essential to the role. This is a fast paced, sometimes pressurised, ever changing environment.

Welcome to our school! The Alderton Junior School is a 2 form entry Junior School for pupils between the ages of 7 to 11 years. We are a forward-thinking school, working in collaboration with 15 other local schools as part of the Epping Forest Schools Multi-Academy Trust.
