Legra Trust (made up of three Academies, Belfairs, Cecil Jones and Darlinghurst) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to support teaching and learning throughout the Trust to be based at Cecil Jones Academy.

Cecil Jones Academy is split into three colleges. When students are inducted into the Academy, they are assigned to a College. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic College Leader within the Academy who will report directly to the Assistant Principal. This is an integral role in the Academy along with the other College Leaders and Wellbeing Managers.

The successful candidate will, as part of their role:

Maintain a focus on ensuring opportunities for all students to make high levels of progress and attainment.
Be expected to devise and promote initiatives that develop the strength of the student to best support the well-being, progress and attainment of all students in the Academy with the support and involvement of the teachers and relevant support staff.
Contribute to the support of teachers as appropriate to ensure all students make high levels of progress - through appropriate behaviour for learning.
Regularly meet with all students in the appropriate key stage to ensure thorough knowledge of individuals and sub-groups, enabling intervention programmes to be devised.
Provide regular reports regarding individual students and all sub-groups
Provide reports for SLT on matters of students well-being, Academy life and college activities.
Liaise with teachers and the other directors of Raising Standards in situations where there are concerns relating to groups of students.
