Performing Arts Specialist Technician

Start Date: 8th September 2017

Salary: Band 3

Location: Aveley, Essex

Contract Type: Term time + 2 Weeks

Are you able to:

Design, Plan and Operate Lighting& Sound for productions
Design and Construct set for performance
Offer and share your expertise to enhance students' understanding of lighting

The school is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced technician for the Performing Arts Department within a 'good school'. The Performing Arts Department will also produce Musical productions, plays, and both choral and orchestral performances for pupils aged 11-18.

Main Duties: To oversee and maintain lighting and the theatre space; to operate lighting and sound for performances; to support learning of students with practical experiences of the operation of lighting and sound.

Desirable Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Music/Performing Arts Studies or equivalent
Ideally 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
