We are looking to appoint a full time Learning Support Assistant, term time only for a lovely boy with autistic spectrum disorder in KS2. He is bright, articulate and very kind. He needshelp to manage his anxieties and remove his barriers to learning. This is intially a fixed contract until 31/08/18.
We would like the successful candidate to start as soon as possible after their interview but will allow for notice periods.
Experience is essential. The candidate must have an understanding of autistic spectrum disorder. They must be willing to work with the class teacher and on their own initiative.
Successful candidates will develop this child's interaction with his peer group and adult helpers. They will also be sensitive to the needs of the child and other children in the class.
Successful candidates will be flexible, able to work as part of a team and confident to liaise with outside agencies.
