East Tilbury Primary School Annexe provides an alternative provision for children who are unable to access a mainstream curriculum. We are a member of the St. Clere's Co-operative Academy Trust, which enables us to offer exciting opportunities for great candidates.
Our children are kinaesthetic learners who enjoy creative hands-on learning. They require a significantly adapted curriculum to enable them to progress and enjoy learning. The ethos of East Tilbury Primary School Annexe is based on the Co-operative values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and sharing a sense of collective responsibility for supporting each other.
The successful Learning Mentor will support Teachers and LSAs to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of engagement through appropriate provision. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment.
In partnership with our primary school, we focus on supporting young people to return to a mainstream school setting. It is our aim to ensure that we help them to regain a sense of confidence and self-esteem to enable them to learn alongside their peers.
If you have a true passion for teaching and learning and want to help all our children make the best possible progress from their starting points and if you have children at the heart of your teaching practice then we are the school for you.
Continuous service from previous teaching employment at Academies and local area maintained education establishments is recognised.
East Tilbury Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be offered a position subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical check and two references. East Tilbury Primary School Annexe is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applicants from all sections of the community.
