SEN Teaching Assistant - 26 hours and 15 minutes per week
We are looking to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant, to support a child with specific educational needs. You will need to:
- Work as part of a team under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo.
- Support the child with personal and educational needs.
- Have the ability to build effective relationships with staff, parents and children.
- Show initiative and flexibility.
- Have a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Responsibilities will include
- You will also be expected to safeguarding the children in the class, including caring for them and supervising them.
- Liaise with and form strong partnerships with parents, including taking part in development progress review meetings and providing daily feedback to parents and carers.
- Take on key worker responsibilities including observing and planning for children's needs, providing exciting and stimulating activities based on next steps for children.
- Tracking children's progress.
Adhering to the schools policies and procedures at all time.
Key Attributes of applicant include
- English and Maths grade A-C
- NVQ level 3 or above
- Highly Organized and a good communicator
- Good team player
- Proactive and willing to take part in extra curricular activities and events
- Creative and able to use creativity and initiative around the school.
- Act as a positive role model to children and to be kind happy and willing to go the extra mile.

Information about our school
Situated in the beautiful village of Coopersale, near the Essex town of Epping, we overlook the picturesque Epping Forest. We are currently a one-form entry school ranging from Reception to Year 6. Currently we have 190 pupils on roll, including an additional Year 2 class (bulge year).
As a local authority maintained Church of England primary school, we believe in serving our community. We nurture and inspire the development of the whole child.
