We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team of support staff. The post is for 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday mornings, term time only.

This a fixed term contract for one year until August 2018.

The successful candidate will have the following skills: -

  • Educated to at least level C GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • A flexible motivated team player with good organisational skills
  • Ability to think creatively to make learning exciting and relevant to all our students
  • Be adaptable and able to work with initiative
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and have high expectations of themselves and children.

Dr Walker’s Church of England Primary School is a small village Voluntary Controlled community school, in the heart of Fyfield, Ongar. We might be small, but have a lot to offer!

We are a creative school, where pupils are supported to become the best they can be. Pupils access the curriculum through additional fun activities such as dressing up days, hatching ducks, circus workshops, visiting zoo, residentials, initiatives, etc. and where appropriate participation in sporting events with local schools. Our school website evidences all our fun activities in the weekly newsletters (do have a look at how we are having fun, whilst learning!).
