Learning Support Assistants
Bank/Casual - as and when required
£8.20 - £9.32 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
Casual work up to 35 hours per week during term time (38 weeks per year) only*
We are looking to establish a team of enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work on an 'as and when required'basis providing additional support to our established LSA team.
You will be working with 16-19 year olds who are undertaking an academic programme of study (AS/A Levels). You will aid us in delivering one to one support in the classroom in order to provide a meaningful and relevant curriculum to meet the needs of our higher level needs students. This may include physical and domestic help where appropriate.
Experience of working with students/young adults with disabilities or learning needs is desirable but not essential. The ability to work constructively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to be flexible is essential. Ideally you should have practical experience or a relevant qualification e.g. NNEB, BTEC National Diploma in Childcare, NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, or equivalent. You will need to be educated to at least GCSE level and have relevant Maths and English qualifications. A willingness to support students with care needs is also required.
