Glebe Primary School has Learning Support Assistant positions available to start from September 2017.
Band 2 P11-14, 38 weeks per year
Permanent Class based LSA 30 hours per week:
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic LSA to join our friendly, caring and supportive team on a permanent basis. This role will include supporting in class, working with small groups and running interventions.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Experience supporting teaching and learning, ideally in a school environment
Knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum
A positive and proactive approach
The ability to work as part of a team
High expectations for all pupils - An NVQ Level 2 in learning support/early years
2 Fixed Term SEN 1to1 LSA
We are looking for two highly resilient, enthusiastic, dedicated and effective SENLearning Support Assistants:
25 hours per week 9:00am - 3pm 1to1 support for a year 3 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
15 hours per week 1to1support mornings only 9:00am - 12:00pm for a year 5 pupil with an Education, Health and Care plan for Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
The successful candidates will need to have:
- Knowledge and understanding of how to effectively support a pupil with ASD
A positive and calm manner
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and inclusion team - NVQ Level 2 in learning support/early years
