SUBJECT LEADER: RELIGIOUS STUDIES & PHILOSOPHY

TLR 2c

Required for January 2018, a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Religious Studies to lead and manage this outstanding subject area. An ability to teach Religious Studies in all Key Stages, including sixth form courses is essential and the ability to offer a second subject is desirable. The Anglo European School is 11-18 comprehensive school, with a distinct international ethos and broad international curriculum, informed by the values of the International Baccalaureate.

Last year, RS achieved 97% A*-C and 50% A*-A in GCSE. Progress 8 for Humanities was 0.8 and 0.9 for disadvantaged students respectively (sig and top 10% nationally). In the Sixth Form, A level Religious Studies scored ALPs 7 and 100% students who sat IB Higher and IB Standard Philosophy achieved the upper grades, 5-7.
