TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES

MPR

(Temporary - 1 Term)

Required from September 2017, an enthusiastic and well qualified teacher of RS to join an outstanding department. An ability to teach Religious Studies in Key Stage 3 and 4 is essential and the ability to offer sixth form teaching or a second subject is desirable. The Anglo European School is an 11-18 comprehensive school, with a distinct international ethos and broad international curriculum, informed by the values of the International Baccalaureate. All members of staff working at the school support the aims and ethos of the school and participate in the extensive visits programme. Pupils demonstrate outstanding personal development.

Last year RS achieved 97% A*-C and 50% A*-A in GCSE. Progress 8 for Humanities was 0.8 and 0.9 for disadvantaged students respectively (sig and top 10% nationally). In the Sixth Form, A level Religious Studies scored ALPs 7 and 100% students who sat IB Higher and IB Standard Philosophy achieved the upper grades 5-7.

The Anglo European School is located in the village of Ingatestone in Essex with easy access to the A12 and M25. Ingatestone is also only a 30 minute train journey from Liverpool Street station.
