Teacher Training - Open Days
Teach Thurrock Primary Partnership - lead school Dilkes Academy
Do you want an exceptional career as a primary teacher?
The Teach Thurrock Primary Partnership lead by Dilkes Academy is running an innovative ITE programme for both School Direct Salaried and non-salaried (PGCE) applicants. You will be nurtured by your home school and your training will follow an innovative action research model at Dilkes, which complements the training you gain at UCL Institute of Education.
If you are considering a career in teaching and would like to know more about becoming a teacher, you are warmly invited to attend one of our Open Days. Theseevents are the perfect opportunity for you to visit a vibrant working school and ask any questions you might have about the role of a teacher. The day will provide guidance on how to prepare for teacher training and how to submit a successful application.
What happens at our Open Days?
Arrival is at 9.30 and the day will commence with a talk from our ITE Manager and one of our partnership head teachers. You will also enjoy a tour of the school with an opportunity to talk to one of our trainee teachers or those who have successfully completed one of our training programmes. The event will end with a Q and A session where you will find out more about how to apply through UCAS. Information will be given about our very successful PGCE and salaried route courses which results in a 100% retention rate in Thurrock.
