De La Salle School and Language College is a thriving oversubscribed fully comprehensive and inclusive 11-16 Catholic School.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Religious Education with opportunity for responsibility of 2 i/c in the department for a strong candidate. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our successful Religious Education department. The successful applicant will join a department with a proud track record of embracing innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will:
· Have Qualified Teacher Status
· Have experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and 4.
· Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
· Support the Curriculum Leader in:
o Providing professional leadership and management to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
o Ensuring high quality curriculum experiences for students of all abilities in order to maximise achievement with particular responsibility for KS3.
· Responsible for :
o Supporting the development of the standards of student learning and staff teaching;
o Curriculum provision for a specified key stage, usually KS3;
o Assessment, test and examination performance;
o Raising achievement of all students.
· Support and follow the Catholic ethos of the School
· Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
Whilst the successful candidate is not required to be Catholic, you would be expected to support and follow the Catholic ethos of the School.
