Deputy Headteacher

Salary: Leadership Spine 9-13 (£48,569-£53,486)
Location: South Ockendon, Essex
We are currently looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team at Dilkes Academy. We are an outstanding school (Ofsted, April 2012) and have been a National Teaching School since 2013. We are able to offer an excellent range ofprofessional development opportunities through our Teaching School, Catalyst Academies Trust collaborativetrainingas well as InitialTeacher Training.
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader and take the next step towards headship. Along with other members of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in the management of the Academy and will be responsible for raising standards and helping establish a culture that is nurturing and rigorous.
Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and a strategic leader with a resilient character and a strong personal drive.
The ideal candidate will also:
· Have a proven experience of positively impacting on student progress and raising attainment and developing excellence
· Be fully committed to Dilkes Academy's ethos of high expectations
· Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
· Be the Strategic Lead for Computing
· Have extensive experience in data management and assessment

Our pupils are aged 3 – 11, ranging from Nursery to Year 6, and mainly live in the area surrounding the school.
