We are an oversubscribed grammar school, complimented by a recent (2015) outstanding OFSTED inspection on all aspects, including our success in promoting good pupil attitudes and behaviour.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, flexible and well-organised LSA to support able pupils who have a variety of challenging needs.
The hours of the post are still to be determined but will be between 15-20 hours per week, term time only.
The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of the following:
GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
Previous relevant experience would be an advantage
Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
Caring and patient nature coupled with an ability to give calm, firm and measured responses
An understanding of how social and emotional triggers prompt behaviour responses and how to reduce the impact of these
An ability to work as part of a team, with initiative and autonomy skills
