We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic science teacher to join our Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to become the Second in Charge of Science, a well-resourced, newly built department which places a high emphasis on investigative work and where active learning and experimentation are encouraged.

The successful candidate will be a committed professional who has vision for their subject area and the ability to inspire staff and students to achieve excellent results. They will be dedicated to achieving high quality teaching and learning, and will work closely with the Head of Department to track, monitor and evaluate progress of students. The ability to teach KS5 would be an advantage.

The Ockendon Academy was rated as Good with Outstanding features in 2014. We are an ambitious school with excellent facilities and a track record of training and developing staff.
