1:2:1 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS REQUIRED
Salary: Local Government Payscale, Band 3, within the Range 8-16, depending upon experience £15,326 - £19,411 per annum pro rata, actual salary £10,145.31-£12,849.45
Contract Type: 28.75 hours per week, term time plus inset days
Contract Term: Temporary depending on funding

Tilbury Pioneer Academy is part of the larger Gateway Learning Community (GLC): a partnership of local primary and secondary schools committed to working together to achieve the highest educational standards for the whole community and is a friendly school that values teamwork and high achievement in all areas of our work with young people.
We are looking to appoint two Learning Support Assistants to work on a 1:2:1 basis with pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). This post will be for the duration of the SEN funding for the individual child.
The successful candidates would have experience of working in a Learning Support Assistant role within a school environment and with children with special needs. They would have a calm, observant and responsive approach and also have GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths.
We are looking for candidates who enjoy working closely with pupils, who can act on their own initiative and who are committed to meeting the needs of individual pupils. Experience of supporting children with ASD or a Care Plan would be desirable.
