We are a popular, thriving school of 308 pupils in the heart of Tiptree. Judged to be 'good' overall by Ofsted (September 2013) and an 'outstanding' church school (June 2013), St Luke's has much to celebrate be proud of thanks to the strength of the team who work in partnership together. Our strong and enthusiastic staff are committed to inclusion, with a mutually shared belief in nurturing the individual through a focus on pupil well-being and family support. Our core aim is to develop children's self-belief so that they can achieve greatness, celebrating with them every step of the way!
The school always strives to improve and to help us continue to do this we are looking to appoint a creative Key Stage Two practitioner who has the skills to work within a triplet teaching team to devise an exciting, child-centred curriculum and share their skills and expertise in order to raise standards across the school by mentoring and coaching others. This postholder will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Information about the School
St Luke's is at the heart of the village of Tiptree and is easily accessible from the A12 - a short commute from both Colchester and Chelmsford.
St Luke's Church Primary School was founded in 1863 to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England.
Following the reorganisation of many Church of England schools in the 1950's, St Luke's became a controlled school. This means that some of the governing body is drawn from the foundation, representing the Church of England, and the rest is made up of County nominated and other lay people.
The school occupies the site immediately adjacent to St Luke's Church, and this reinforces the feeling of community that we share.
