Description

The James Hornsby School, is a successful school with Investors in People Gold status, which can offer students the opportunity to reach their full potential in a supportive and caring environment. Our students are proud of their school and enjoy so many different parts of school life including trips, visits and many other activities both in and outside of the normal school day.

We believe that it is essential that we work in partnership with the students, parents/carers and both local and international communities to enable our students to be prepared for their future lives. Our school motto, 'Together We Excel' reflects this belief. Staff at The James Hornsby School work incredibly hard, along with Governors and Parents, to ensure we offer the best educational opportunities possible.

The James Hornsby School is a forward thinking school, continually looking for new ways to provide the best learning environment and learning opportunities for our students. We are at the centre of the local community and open our doors outside of the normal school day to support learning and recreational opportunities in the local community. We are aiming for excellence and we invite you to come and see for yourselves.

Quotes from our May 2016 Ofsted report: "This school is well led. The Headteacher and leaders have worked with determination to create a culture where pupils share a 'lifelong love of learning' and achieve their best". "School leaders have succeeded in bringing pupils together into a positive, caring school community which promotes high expectations for attitudes towards learning, relationships and attendance."
