Description

Welcome to Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery

Our school is a two-form entry Infant School with a Nursery attached. It is located on Limes Farm Estate and is an integral part of the local community.

Our vision at Limes Farm Infant School and Nursery is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment in which everyone belongs. We are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of everyone. We create a community where children feel happy and respected in an inclusive and diverse environment. Our curriculum is designed to broaden our children's horizons, widen their cultural capital and empower them to be curious about the world around them. We develop resilient, confident children who are enthusiastic about learning. Our goal as a school is to equip our young people with the skills and mindset to thrive and then take on the world.

Pupils enjoy learning at Limes Farm Infant and Nursery School. They are polite and welcoming. Pupils develop positive relationships with each other and with staff. They say that they feel safe in the school. It is a happy place to be. Many parents share this view, saying the school has a ‘warm manner’ and that children come home happy. Staff have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Pupils understand these expectations and behave well around the school. There is a calm atmosphere. Pupils are rarely unkind to each other but when this happens, pupils say that staff deal with it quickly. Teachers put this right. Through the personal, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum content, in lessons and through other activities, pupils develop their awareness of culture and diversity.

‘Belong, Learn and Enjoy.’

We are part of The Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of fifteen Primary and one Special School all based in the Epping Forest District. Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), School Improvement Team, Well-being Service and Resourced Provisions based in three of our schools, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest.

EFSPT was formed in 2018 from a consortium of schools that had worked together for over 20 years and are committed to collaborative working to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and school communities. The schools maintain their identities but work in a highly collaborative manner supported by a small but very experienced Central Team.

Our Mission is to provide an exceptional education that is inclusive and challenging for all and which provides wider opportunities for the children within the EFSPT to flourish.

EFSPT is committed to Trauma Perceptive Practice; the Essex approach to understanding behaviour and supporting emotional well-being. Being trauma-perceptive means that through our values, policies and practice, we are able to effectively support the children, families and communities in our Trust, creating spaces of belonging and safety that enable everyone to flourish, become resilient and learn.

We are an Equal Opportunities employer and we are committed to safeguarding our schools’ communities. The appointment will therefore be subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.

West Essex SCITT is an outstanding provider of Initial Teacher Training. We currently have student finance or self funded postgraduate trainee teacher vacancies available to start in September 2024 across all of our 16 primary schools
