Part-time SEN Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

SEN Learning Support Assistants required as soon as possible.

15 hours per week/25 hours per week - 38 weeks per year.

Band 2 Point 11-14 year fixed term contract until end of Summer Term 2016.

Maple Grove Primary School is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and caring SEN Learning Support Assistants to support children.

The ideal candidates will:

be able to support children by following programmes devised by the school,
liaise with the class teacher and Inclusion Manager and keep detailed records of the child's achievements
use their own initiative to support the child in making the best possible progress
be highly positive and supportive
be able to remain calm and flexible, be caring, have patience, and have a sense of humour

Ideally you would have experience of supporting children with special educational needs; English and Maths GCSE at Grade C, have experience of working on a differentiated curriculum suited to an individual child's needs. Ideally -previously supported a child with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
