Due to the pending retirement of our highly regarded DHT we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and ambitious leader to join the school leadership team.
We are looking for someone who ·
- Will help lead the school on its journey from good to outstanding
- Has a proven track record of outstanding practice.
- Has excellent interpersonal skills
- Puts the outcomes and welfare of children at the heart of everything they do.
- Will lead on Child Protection working effectively with children, families and outside agencies.
- Will lead and manage out highly skilled and dedicated support staff team.
- Has future aspirations for headship

Information about the School
St George’s Infant School and Nursery is a three-form entry school serving the local community of New Town Colchester. We are a very cohesive and inclusive school and we aim to ensure that every member of our school community is equally valued.
We have good links with local community groups and work closely with our partner junior school, with whom we aim to amalgamate during 2020-2021. We are also part of the Tiptree and Stanway Consortium of schools.
