Shalford, located just outside Braintree, is a friendly, village school at the heart of our community. Our dedicated and passionate team continuously strive to give all children the best possible learning opportunities. Staff have high expectations of all pupils and aim to ensure every child thrives and fulfils their potential- academically, creatively, socially and emotionally. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic KS2 teacher who has the commitment, desire and potential to develop the role to an outstanding level.
This is a full time role teaching a mixed Year 5 and 6 class.
We are seeking to appoint someone who:
- has experience teaching KS2
- has a proven track record as a successful teacher
- isable to make accurate assessments of pupil's learning and have the ability to use this toplan future lessons
- supports the aims and ethos of our school
- will be a team player and seek advice if needed
- will work hard to enable all children to achieve their best!

Information about the School
Shalford Primary is a friendly, half-form entry school that puts the education and wellbeing of our children at the centre of everything we do. Our teaching develops effective knowledge, skills and attributes that enable the children to be confident, responsible and compassionate whilst developing a respect for humankind and the world in which we live. We want every child to have the core skills of literacy and mathematics mastered and learn through a rich and creative curriculum that encompasses science, technologies, humanities and the arts. In addition, we have a range of enrichment activities delivered through the children's personalised timetables to enhance the children's learning experiences.
The school caters for children from 4 to 11 years old and has been in the village of Shalford since 1874.
