SEN Learning Support Assistant

Band: 2 to midpoint

Start date: 1st January 2015

30.25 hours per week term time - 8.40 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. with 30 minutes for lunch

Fixed Term Contract for two terms

We are looking to appoint an experienced, patient and sensitive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our caring and successful team. This position is to support a child in Year 6 who has emotional and social difficulties and may include working with other groups and individuals.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good understanding of child development and learning and have good literacy and numeracy skills (Maths and English qualifications equivalent to GCSE grade C and above), an ability to communicate well with children, parent/carers and SENCO, a nurturing nature and have a desire to ensure that this child enjoys learning and achieves their full potential during their time at Harlowbury Primary School.
