Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Initially 15 hours per week

LGS Band 2 point 11-14. [Term time only]
The Governors are seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our strong and successful team.
We are inviting applications for an experienced, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to work with statemented children within Key Stage 2 to assist in supporting differentiated teaching and learning as well as implementing an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Experience of supporting children with general learning difficulties, language skills and ADHD would be beneficial but not essential. Applicants should specify their experience and suitability for this post.
The main duties include working in partnership with the classteacher to support learning in line with the National Curriculum, Individual Education Plans and Consistent Management Plans; joining a team of dedicated TA's, supporting codes of practice, school policies and procedures.
Suitable applicants will need to demonstrate patience, flexibility and a commitment to supporting learners in their academic, social and personal development. The successful applicants will need to support the Christian ethos of the school.
Minimum qualification of GCSE Mathematics and English grade C would be preferable or equivalent qualification.

In addition the successful candidate would be expected to join the Midday Assistant (MDA) team to assist in the care and welfare of all children over the lunch time period. This would be on a separate contract Band 1 point 10.
