SENCo required from January 2015. Part time (0.5 FTE with at least 1 full day)
We wish to appoint a SENCo who is committed to breaking down barriers to learning and is able to inspire and support children and staff to be confident, successful individuals.
The SENCo will:
- Be dedicated, enthusiastic and very well organised
- Be proactive in working with parents and families
- Be an effective communicator
- Have experience of a number of different interventions and strategies
- Be an experienced SENCo or Inclusion Manager or be willing to undergo the National Award for SEN Coordination

Information about the School
West Leigh Infant School is a large, popular infant school, located in the historic fishing village of Leigh-on-Sea. Our school is held in high esteem by our community, ten years ago we celebrated our centenary and there are strong links with local families.
'Together we aim high, work hard, have fun' - our school is a welcoming, friendly, caring school with happy, confident children who enjoy learning and achieving well. In addition, our pupils are fortunate to be able to walk to the sea, visit local churches and Belfairs Park as well as enjoying a wide range of coach and rail trips. We also benefit from an on-site swimming pool. We are a maintained school with a 4 form entry teaching children in the age range 4 - 7 years.
