Graded as 'outstanding' by Ofsted in February 2010, Columbus is a leading all age special school for children and young people aged 3-19 with severe and profound learning difficulties based in Chelmsford, Essex. The school became an academy in May 2012 and is now part of the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). Columbus delivers an outstanding education to students in our new, purpose built environment and in order to do this we need outstanding individuals!

You will have the ability to plan and prepare lessons and schemes of work in accordance with school policy, ensuring a variety of learning opportunities for the development of students' key skills. You will have sound knowledge and understanding of teaching, learning and approaches for students with special educational needs and will have the ability to motivate and inspire our learners to achieve their best.
