We are looking to appoint anAssistant Cookto work part-time, Monday to Friday term time only11am to 2pm. You will be working with an establishedteam of catering staff to provide and serve hot school meals for our pupils. The person appointed to the post will need to be flexible in both duties and start and finish times, when the need arises.
Brief outline of duties to include:
· Provide assistance with preparation, cooking and service of food.
· Follow menu plans and assist with the ordering of food
· Deputise for the Catering Manager if the need arises
· Take responsibility for the supervision of other kitchen staff when necessary
· Occasionally assist with special functions which maybe outside of normal working hours
· To carry out cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas as required
· To follow sound hygiene practices
· To ensure Health and Safety regulations are observed in working practices
· To assist with the operation of control procedures as required
· Undergo all relevant training when necessary
