Pay: Scale 3 pt 4-5 (£18933 - £19312 pro rata)

Contract term: 1 year fixed term contract

Start date: Autumn 2022 - to be negotiated with successful candidate

We are looking to appoint an adaptable and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for 20 hours per week (8.45 - 1pm daily). The role will involve supporting a variety of children with social and communication needs within our Reception classes and at lunchtime, individually and as part of small groups, in addition to providing other general support as directed by the class teacher. Previous experience is desirable but not essential for the right person.

Suitable applicants will be good communicators themselves and have patience and understanding. Applicants will understand the professional nature of the role. The successful candidate must have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

If you would like to join our team and help make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Visits to the school or conversations with the SENCo, Liz Lawrence, are encouraged. Please contact the school office prior to book a visit or telephone call from 1st September.

Closing date: Friday 9th September noon

Interview date: Thursday 15th September pm

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
