SEN Learning Support Assistant
Start Date:asap
Salary: Scale 3, point 4-5 depending on experience (actual salary £13,511.75-£13,782.49)
Hours: 31.25 per week, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.15pm
Type: Fixed term for 1 year for a named child
We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support for an Early Years pupil who is non-verbal and has a diagnosis of ASD. You will work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo to support learning in line with the Early Years Framework and the pupil's one plan. Experience of working with children with special needs is essential. This position is for a fixed term for a named child.
The successful candidate will:
- have a high level of empathy and compassion;
- have the ability to form positive relationships with colleagues and children;
- have experience of and is confident in supporting children's special educational needs, including social & emotional;
- be prepared to take on any educational training as required;
- remain calm in challenging situations and work closely as part of a team;
- liaise with and report to the class teacher and SENCo;
- have a good sense of humour!
