SEN Learning Support Assistant
Start Date:1st September2022 or sooner if possible
Salary: Scale 3, point 4-5 (actual salary £10, 198)
Hours: 22.5 per week, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 1pm
Type: Fixed term until 31st July 2023 for a named child
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide one to one support for akey stage 1 pupil who has a diagnosis of ASD. You will work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCo to support learning in line with the pupil's one plan. Experience of working with children with special needs is desirable. This position is for a fixed term for a named child.
The successful candidate will:
have a high level of empathy and compassion;
have the ability to form positive relationships with colleagues and children;
have experience of and is confident in supporting children's special educational needs, including social & emotional;
be prepared to take on any educational training as required;
remain calm in challenging situations and work closely as part of a team;
liaise with and report to the class teacher and SENCo;
have a good sense of humour!
