An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of the Deaf to work within our Enhanced Provision for deaf students. The successful candidate will hold the mandatory Teacher of the Deaf qualification.
Working closely with our Lead Teacher of the Deaf, you will oversee and facilitate the inclusion of deaf students throughout our school and within the mainstream classes. This will include providing tutorial sessions to support students' language skills and access to their lessons, as well as supporting teachers to ensure inclusion for the deaf students in lessons. You may also work with small groups of pupils within our Enhanced Provision to accelerate progress.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to develop and deliver carefully structured teaching programmes, maintain accurate records and monitor pupil progress.

Our school is well maintained and boasts extensive grounds providing a large playing field, a Forest School area and two playgrounds. The outdoor pavilion provides shelter and is used as an outdoor classroom. We have seven main classrooms, a Nursery and a enhanced provision for the teaching of Hearing Impaired Children. The Nursery has places for 26 part-time pupils and they are involved in the social life of the school, helping them experience a very successful transition to our reception class in the mainstream school.The enhanced provision has 18 places and caters for pupils who are severe/profoundly deaf from across the whole of North East Essex.
