The continuing expansion of Somers Heath Primary School means that an exciting opportunity has arisen for a joint Site Manager. We need you to play a vital part in the next phase for our school. If you have the skills and previous experience this may be for you.

Somers Heath Primary School is looking for a motivated, experienced, enthusiastic and caring person to join our Site Management Team on a part-time basis as soon as possible.

Pay Scale: Thurrock Band 4 based on experience.

Hours: 20 hours per week/52 weeks per year.(Holidays to be taken during school holiday periods.)

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: ·

- A firm commitment to the school and its ethos
- A flexible approach to their work and ability to work independently
- Strong DIY and handyman skills, e.g. decorating, carpentry, plumbing
- Good communication skills, as you will be liaising with contractors, tradesman as well as students and staff.

Duties will include general repairs and maintenance, locking and unlocking premises, general security, porterage, DIY, record keeping, etc. A full job description is attached to this advert.

Ideally, you will possess an awareness of COSHH, Safe Manual Handling practices and Health & Safety and have prior experience of working within a similar setting. (Although, this is not essential.)

Full driving licence and use of your own car is essential as you may be required to attend the school outside of normal working hours.

Working hours: 4 hours per day. (Times to be agreed)
