SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with an EHCP

Required from: Monday 29th October 2018

We are looking to appoint two caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to provide support for a Year 3 pupil with an EHCP with SEMH needs who is currently being educated at the GROW Enhanced Provision at Newlands Spring Primary Academy Trust in Chelmsford. Initially this would be to support the child at GROW with the longer term aim for reintegration back to Boreham Primary School by the summer term 2018. Due to the location the successful candidate will need to be able to provide their own transport.

There are two posts;

Post 1: 8:45-12:00 Monday to Friday

Post 2: 11:45-3:15pm Monday to Friday

The successful candidate will:

Have experience in supporting pupils with SEND
Have a commitment to high quality inclusive teaching and learning.
Have excellent communication skills and a commitment to work in partnership with school staff, parents and other professionals
Be able to demonstrate the ability to use a range of strategies in working effectively with children with a variety of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Be able to develop, nurture and model positive adult and peer relationships in line with both school settings.
Be able to engage and motivate children to learn, building on the strengths and resources of the child.
Be able to contribute to assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluations.
Work well as part of a team, as well as being able to show initiative and have an ability to work independently
