Development and Training Opportunities

Essex offers a wide range of courses aimed at supporting teachers and headteachers to progress within their career. Details may be found on the Essex Grid for Learning web site at www.e-gfl.org

Comprehensive Induction
All new headteachers will have access to a mentor through the National College of School Leadership’s (NCSL) Early Headship Provision (EHP).

School Cluster Support
All schools are part of a local delivery group (LDG) and many cluster with informal local consortia.

Review and Development Advice
Every school has a School Development Adviser (SDA) or School Improvement Partner (SIP) with particular responsibility for monitoring, evaluating, and supporting
