Are you a qualified English or Maths Teacher?
Do you wish to develop your experience and expertise in one to one tutoring?
Would you be available to work at varying times of the day to support pupils across Essex?
Essex Standards and Improvement Service are proud to be involved with the ‘Making Good Progress’ pilot project running in a number of schools across the county. In order to fulfil the requirements of the project we are seeking to develop a group of suitably qualified tutors able to deliver the required one-to-one tutoring in both English and Mathematics.
Tutors must:
• be qualified teachers
• be able to demonstrate a track record of effective teaching
• be able demonstrate that they are able to work with individual pupils to progress learning
• have subject specific knowledge of Mathematics and/or English at KS2 and KS3
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified tutors. To register your interest please telephone 01245 436304 for an application form. A pool system is operated for schools and upon receipt of your application your details will be added to the pool. Schools will contact you on individual basis about possible engagement as a tutor.
The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults of Essex and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore individuals wishing to become tutors will need to undertake an enhanced CRB check.
