If you are appointed to a headship in a community, foundation, voluntary controlled or voluntary aided primary, secondary or special school in Essex and need to move at least 40 miles from outside the County to take up your post, you may be eligible to claim a relocation grant payment of up to £2,500 including VAT if your new address is within 25 miles of the school.
Items that can be claimed under the scheme include removal expenses and storage fees, legal and associated costs in buying and/or selling a property, estate agency fees, incidental expenses and a contribution towards initial costs
