Resettlement Grant

If you are an NQT moving to Essex to teach in a secondary school or a special school with secondary age pupils, you may be eligible to claim resettlement grant of up to £750 including VAT if you meet the criteria of the scheme.  If you are moving to Essex to take up a leadership post in a secondary school or a special school with secondary age pupils, you may be eligible to claim up to £1,500. 

Items that can be claimed under the scheme include removal expenses and storage fees, legal and associated costs in buying and/or selling a property, estate agency fees, incidental expenses and a contribution towards initial costs.
