Key Worker Living

Teachers in Essex schools may be eligible to apply for one of the Key Worker housing schemes run by Moat Housing Group.

These include:

Shared Ownership - New Build

This option offers brand new homes for sale on a part buy/part rent basis.

Shared Ownership - Resales

When an existing part buy/part rent home becomes available for resale, you can buy the share from the current owner.

FirstBuy

FirstBuy is an equity loan scheme to help first time buyers purchase a new build home on selected developments.

HomeBuy Direct

This option offers equity loans towards the purchase of a new build home on selcted developments.

Rent to Buy

This option offers new build homes to rent for a pre-defined period of time with the expectation that you will buy a share of the property at the end of the rental period.

Social HomeBuy

This option offers some housing association or local authority tenants the opportunity to buy a share in their rented home.

Discounted Rent

Also known as intermediate rent, this option offers new build homes to rent at 80% (or less) of typical market rents.

HOLD

HOLD is a specially tailored option to assist people with long-term disabilities to purchase a share in a property on the open market.
